Clearly, one of the most difficult tasks an organization faces
is having its "star" make a successful transition to
a "manager of stars." Moving from an individual contributor
position to one as a manager is a challenge that is often overlooked,
and can result in the loss of a valuable resources.
Learning Objectives

- Determine how to define the new role.

skills necessary for success.
- Clearly define what changes
and challenges need to be met.
Program Description
This highly interactive module challenges each participant to
clearly "get a grasp" of their new role. Questions
will be addressed such as: What will be different? How have relationships
changed? What are some of the classic mistakes and pitfalls?
How do you act as a buffer/support system for your employees?
Are you a Manager? Leader? – OR – Both! Etc. The
bottom line of this workshop is to have each participant realize
that this is clearly a different position from their last one
and, therefore, requires a special set of skills, techniques,
and tools.
