State Funded Training
Many states have programs to help companies pay for training
or retraining their employees. Yet, even where this is widely
known, few organizations take full advantage of the boost additional
funding can give their HR programs. It's a common challenge Quest's
HR crew has mastered on behalf of their clients over the years.
Maybe the most prevalent reason we hear of is the daunting amount
of paperwork necessary to get started. Because, as with most
government programs, they want to know every little detail – including
a complete curricula with expected results – before considering
anything!
What's more, facing a state review board and successfully negotiating
funding is really an art in itself. Since few HR departments
include a skilled negotiator, they often give up in frustration.
Or get less than they need – or deserve.
As part of the process, you need to your needs and back them
up with reasons you are unique and worthy of assistance. Then
put together a complete program for review. Who, what, where,
when, how ... and how much. You will be entering into a contract
to fulfill your objectives in return for financial help. You
can also plan on state authorities visiting your site to assess
your qualifications before they get serious about the grant.
However, you can find relief from the drudgery and uncertainty
of putting together a successful application for State-Funded
Training.
